A. Gamble
Bill
Gamble attended Central Methodist College where he successfully
completed a degree in political science. His career in
government began in 1973 when he worked as a student intern
for then State Representative Fred DeField. After college,
Bill served as a research analyst for the Missouri House
of Representatives. From 1977 until 1983 Bill was affiliated
with John Britton and Associates where he lobbied for
a variety of business and professional trade associations.
In 1984 Bill began what is today Gamble and Schlemeier,
LTD. Bill and his associates lobby for approximately 50
business and trade professional organizations. Bill resides
in Jefferson City, Missouri, with his wife, Cyndi, and
his two children, Katie and Jack.
Jorgen Schlemeier
Jorgen
Schlemeier attended the University of Missouri where he
earned a political science degree. In 1989, Jorgen began
his career in Jefferson City as an administrative aid
to Senate Minority Floor Leader, Tom McCarthy. Here, he
helped coordinate the redistricting efforts for Missouri’s
legislative branch. In 1992, Jorgen left his position
with the Senate to join William Gamble in a governmental
consulting firm. Jorgen gained experience lobbying for
the Missouri Assisted Living Association, the Missouri
College of Emergency Physicians and the Missouri Hotel
and Lodging Association. Gamble & Schlemeier was formed
in 1995, and represents numerous organizations. Jorgen
currently resides in Fulton, Missouri, with his wife,
Betsy, and their two children, Sarah and Joe.
Sarah Topp
Sarah
Topp brings a business management background to the Gamble
& Schlemeier team. Her education at Iowa State University
focused in the business administration area and led to an
entrepreneurial endeavor that grew to employ 75 people in
multiple convenience store locations. Sarah first worked
as a lobbyist in the Missouri General Assembly for a state
business trade association. Her state government experience
also includes a stint as legislative assistant to a House
appropriations committee chair. This role provided her the
opportunity to learn the internal workings of state government,
not only in the legislative branch but the executive and
judicial as well. At Gamble & Schlemeier, LTD Sarah
actively lobbies client positions of education, business,
economic development, transportation and environmental regulations
and various local government issues. She has been with the
firm since 1996 and routinely presents written and oral
reports to clients on legislative activities.
Betsy Ledgerwood
The
newest addition to the firm, Betsy Ledgerwood brings a legal
background to Gamble & Schlemeier. After receiving
a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri,
she went on to receive a master’s degree in health
care management as well as a juris doctorate. Upon passing
the Missouri Bar Exam, Betsy served as the in-house
counsel to BHC Concepts, Inc., a health care consulting
firm based in Columbia, Missouri. In 2001, Betsy left
BHC, Inc. to join Gamble & Schlemeier where she
works primarily on the firms health care and emergency
services clients.
