David Jackson is a principal at Gamble & Schlemeier, Missouri’s leading government relations firm recognized among the nation’s top 10 in 2023. Entering the lobbying field at age 19, he holds the distinction of being Missouri’s youngest registered lobbyist. He earned his degree from Westminster College while working full-time and tailoring independent study programs to align with his client engagements.

 

David was the youngest graduate of the Executive MBA program at Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis. He now guest lectures at Olin, working with MBA students on the intersection of public policy and business.

 

Before joining Gamble & Schlemeier in 2016, David served as managing partner at the Gate Way Group, a government affairs firm with a multi-state footprint specializing in lobbying, media, ballot initiatives, and event management.

 

Over his 18-year career, David has helped secure more than 150 policy changes at the state and local levels. His clients include major corporations, small businesses, non-profits, philanthropic organizations, and business coalitions. He manages a significant share of the firm’s client accounts and was named a principal in 2020.

 

David manages the firm’s St. Louis office and resides in Chesterfield, Missouri, with his wife, Claire Vatterott Jackson, and their two children, John (7) and Lucy (5). The Jacksons are active members of Ascension Catholic Parish, where Claire teaches and both children attend school.

 

His professional network includes over a thousand state and local elected officials, and he has advised on more than $50 million in political contributions. David also serves as a media spokesperson and subject matter expert for various clients.
